Worship and sharing in common life is the food for what Jesus asked us to do in loving God and loving neighbor. We believe that following these precepts achieve's God's dream for the world and helps us to feel even more beloved by a merciful and gracious God. St. Mary and St. Martha has always been a place of welcome no matter where you are in life or in your spiritual journey.

There is no perfect church. We are all striving but fall short. This may not even be the church for you. We are committed to our true welcome and to remembering that every person is made in the image of God, that we trust you will find a spot that fits you best, even if it's not us. God will surely use you no matter where you are. We pray that your relationship to God is part of your trials and joys alike no matter where you go to church. But you also may love being part of our community. We are a caring, loving group. We seek God and to love each other.

Come for a visit on a weekday to check out the lay of the land and chat with a member! Dip your toe in slowly, if that's your thing. Email us at comms@smmbuford.org to reach our parish administrator or lmasterson@smmbuford.org to connect with our rector, the Rev. Laura Masterson.

What to Expect
Showing up for a Sunday takes courage but we welcome all gently, knowing that most visitors are simply searching and not sure what to do next. You can come in any of our front doors and we will greet you and tell you where to go next!

To have assistance as you like:
We realize that walking into a community can be daunting. We strive to help visitors without getting in the way. -
In The Episcopal Church, you are invited to participate to whatever degree you choose. You are beloved by God; that is grounds enough for us to love you!
-
Prayer, sermons, Sunday formation, and being together create a space for God to lead us. We worship and then go out to do the joyful work that God has given us to do.
-
We believe that God has equipped you with things to give to the world. This is part of what makes you, you. Being made in the image of God means you are loved and of value. You make us a better body.
