Land Acknowledgement

We acknowledge that St. Mary and St. Martha of Bethany stands on the ancestral lands of the Muscogee (Creek) people, who stewarded this land for generations before their forced removal.

As followers of Christ, we recognize our call to seek justice, reconciliation, and peace in the world. We commit to learning from their wisdom, advocating for their rights, and fostering relationships that reflect God’s love and justice. May this acknowledgment be a step toward truth and healing, guided by the Gospel’s call to love our neighbors as ourselves.
